Akimat of Almaty oblast recommended to take measures on settlement of land dispute with members of Society for Krishna Consciousness

Astana. July 30. Kazakhstan Today - The Council of Public Relations with religious associations at the government of Kazakhstan recommended Almaty oblast akimat to take necessary measures on settlement of the land dispute with members of the religious association Society for Krishna Consciousness, the agency reports.

"Almaty oblast akimat has been recommended to take the necessary measures in the lawful order on settlement of the land dispute between akimat of Karasay region of Almaty oblast and the members of the religious association Society for Krishna Consciousness," the chairman of the Committee for Religions of the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan, Ardak Doszhan, said at the council meeting.

According to assistant akim of Almaty oblast, Serik Mukanov, representatives of the local agencies will render religious association all assistance in relocation of the community from Karasay region and in registration of all the necessary procedures.

At the same time representatives of the religious association turns down the land plot in the Iliysk region offered by the oblast akimat. The members of Society for Krishna Consciousness say that this site is located on a garbage dump and is unsuitable for their needs.
