CSTO to create united group of armies in Central Asian region

July 28. Kazakhstan Today - Collective Security Treaty Organization member states (CSTO) will create united group of armies in the Central Asian region. The CSTO Secretary General, Nikolay Bordyuzha, informed after consultations of the representatives of the CSTO member states in Moscow on Friday, the agency reports referring to information agency Gazeta.
"The united group of armies and collective security forces will be created in the Central Asian region. It is called to become restraining military-political factor in the region taking into account a complicated situation in Afghanistan," CSTO Secretary General emphasized.
The terms of creation of the united group of armies will be specified during further consultations of the group of high level of CSTO member countries representatives.
CSTO members are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
