June 27. Kazakhstan Today - Two more space satellites have been planned to be launched in summer from Baikonur, the agency reports referring to a source at the cosmodrome.
The first out of three planned in summer space launches the carrier rocket Proton-K with the Russian satellite for military purpose Cosmos was carried out from cosmodrome Baikonur today.
According to the plan of launches of space satellites, two more summer launches are planned at cosmodrome Baikonur. Launch of the carrier rocket Proton-M with telecommunication satellite Inmarsat-4F3 and conversion rocket Dnepr with satellites RapidEye have been planned for August.
From the beginning of the year 9 launches of rockets-carriers under the Russian and international space programs have been carried out from Baikonur
More than 20 space launches in total in 2008 have been planned from Baikonur.
