Ministry of Labor of Kazakhstan plans to develop strategy of pension payments increase

Astana. June 24. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan plans to develop long-term strategy of increase of pension payments. The Minister of Labor and Social Protection Berdibek Saparbayev informed during governmental hour on Monday, the agency reports.

"The Ministry plans development and realization of long-term strategy of increase of pension payments," B. Saparbayev said.

According to the program of the National Democratic Party Nur Otan, average sizes of pension payments will be increased by 2.5 times by 2012 relative to 2007.

B. Saparbayev informed that the Ministry plans "to expand the list and to raise quality of rendered social services." In June, 2008 the government approved the bill developed on behalf of the leader of the state on social services. The document provides for development and introduction of standards of social services for socially vulnerable population and all types of social institutions, increase of volume, expansion of range of rendered social services on the basis of state-private partnership, and also increase of number of establishments rendering social services, the Minister explained.
