June 18. Kazakhstan Today - Development of the project of strategy of CIS economic development has come to an end. The chairman of CIS Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev said during the work of Kazakhstan-Russian business-forum Innovative Way of Development - Core of Eurasian Integration on Tuesday, the agency reports.
"Development of the project of the strategy of CIS economic development has come to an end," S. Lebedev said.
The project of the document provides for creation of the regional economic association in CIS space capable of becoming by 2020 one of the leading centers of economic and scientific-technological development of competitive economy.
S. Lebedev explained that the basis of the project is the regulation about "development of relations of CIS states in economic sphere corresponding to the base interests of each of the states and not contradicting development of relations with the third countries."
The project of the strategy is expected to be approved in the end of this year at the CIS summit.
