Kazakhstan cooperation prospects with Muslim countries to be considered at session of OIC Foreign Ministers'

Astana. June 17. Kazakhstan Today - Prospects of cooperation of Kazakhstan with the Muslim countries will be considered during the next meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Ashikbayev informed on Monday, the agency reports.

"The 35th meeting of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Conference with participation of the Kazakhstan delegation headed by Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Nurlan Ermekbayev will be held on June 18-20 in Kampala (Uganda)," Y. Ashikbayev said. The meeting participants will discuss the questions of further development of political, economic and cultural cooperation of the Muslim countries.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomats of the Muslim countries will consider application of Kazakhstan for hosting of the 38th meeting of OIC Ministers for Foreign Affairs in 2011. "The agenda of the session will include the question of promotion of application of Kazakhstan for hosting of VII World Islamic Economic Forum," Y. Ashikbayev explained.
