SCO Culture Ministers to discuss cultural cooperation of six countries in Cholpon-Ata

Dushanbe. June 10. Kazakhstan Today - The Plan of Realization of the Agreement between the governments of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on cooperation in the field of culture for 2008-2011 will be approved during V meeting of SCO Culture Ministers, which be held in Kyrgyzstan on June 23-26, the agency reports referring to News Agency Asia Plus on Monday.

According to the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan, during the meeting the participants will consider working plan of the expert group for cultural cooperation within SCO for 2008-2009 and regulations on the order of carrying out of Arts Festival of SCO member states.

The Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed, the Minister of Culture and Information of Kyrgyzstan Sultan Rayev, the Minister of Culture of China, the Minister of Culture of Russia Alexander Avdeev, the Minister on Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan Rustam Kurbanov, and the Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Mirzoshohruh Asrori will take part in the event.

The exhibition of arts and crafts products will be organized in the showroom of Issyk-Kul State Historical and Cultural Reserve in the city of Cholpon-Ata.
