Session of experts of Caspian Sea status moved forward in coordination of text of the project of Frame Convention - Azerbaijan MFA

Baku. April 21. Kazakhstan Today - During the next session the special working group on development of the convention on legal status of the Caspian Sea at the level of Vice Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the Caspian littoral states on April 15-16 in Teheran managed to move forward in coordination of the text of the project of the Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Halaf Halafov informed, the agency reports.

According to H. Halafov, the convention is a scale legal document that adjusts all kinds of activities, the rights and principles of cooperation of the Caspian Sea littoral states.

"However, there are the issues concerning use of the surface of the sea that remained unresolved. Some of the concepts concerning share of the bottom of the sea have been defined and coordinated," H. Halafov said.

Following the results of the session, the parties agreed to hold the next meeting in Baku.
