Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan Foreign Ministers to discuss border incident

Bishkek. April 3. Kazakhstan Today - The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ednan Karabayev and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Hamrohon Zarifi will discuss the incident at the common border, the agency reports referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

According to Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this incident will be discussed at the meeting of foreign ministers of Central Asian countries with the representative of the European Union in Ashkhabad on April 9.

As it was informed earlier, the accident occurred on March 26. About 150 citizens of Tajikistan led by hakim of Isfari region of Tajikistan and the representatives of power structures intruded into the territory of Kyrgyzstan and tried to destroy the dam that did not allow them to irrigate their fields.

The incident has been discussed by both parties, including by the members of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
