Spacecraft Soyuz TMA-12 being inspected at Baikonur

Baikonur. April 1. Kazakhstan Today - The spacecraft Soyuz TMA-12 intended for launch of the crew of cosmonauts to the International Space Station (ISS) is being inspected at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur.

According to the press service, today the experts of the Rocket Space Corporation Energy are carrying out author's inspection of the spacecraft Soyuz TMA-12.

According to the plan of pre-starting preparation for April, 3 the second training of the cosmonauts in the lowered device of the ship Soyuz is planned. Right after the trainings the space ship Soyuz TMA-12 will be transported to the assembly testing house of the platform №112 of the cosmodrome where the general assembly of the spacecraft with the booster rocket Soyuz-FG will be carried out.

After assembly of the space manned ship and the booster rocket to the uniform "package", the booster rocket Soyuz-FG will be transported to the launch complex of the platform №1 for pre-starting preparation on April 6.

The launch of the booster rocket Soyuz-FG with the manned ship Soyuz TMA-12 with the crew of the 17th basic expedition and the 14th expedition to the International Space station is planned for April 8 at 17.16 p.m., Astana time from the platform №1 of the cosmodrome.

The ship will transport the basic crew of the 17th expedition to the International Space Station that includes the Russian cosmonauts Sergey Volkov and Oleg Kononenko and the cosmonaut of the 14 expedition, the citizen of South Korea Li So En.
