Course of realization of National Safety Strategy considered at Security Council Session

Astana. March 28. Kazakhstan Today - The course of realization of National Safety Strategy was considered at the Security Council session taken place on Thursday in Astana headed by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the president's press service informed the agency.

"During the discussion the session participants informed on the course of realization by the state bodies the measures stipulated in the Strategy in 2007," the press service widespread on Thursday, following the results of the session, informs.

The Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning Bakhyt Sultanov made the report at the Security Council session. The Minister of Internal Affairs Baurzhan Muhamedzhanov, the Minister of Agriculture Ahmetzhan Esimov, Almaty oblast akim Serik Umbetov and KNB vice chairman Vladimir Zhumakanov acted as co-speakers.

"During discussion of external and internal factors influencing development of the situation in the country, the President of Kazakhstan evaluated efficiency of the undertaken measures," the message informs.

According to the press service, the real and potential threats for the forthcoming period have been defined on the basis of the analysis of the tendencies in the main directions of maintenance of national security.

"Proceeding from the real conditions and assessment forecasts of development of the situation in the world, the region and the country, the President charged the government and the chairmen of the corresponding state bodies with the specific assignments," the message states.
