Astana. March 26. Kazakhstan Today - The anniversary of Astana should promote consolidation of the Kazakhstan citizens. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said today at the meeting in the capital akimat, the agency reports.

"Astana is the national success, common achievement; therefore the anniversary should promote consolidation of the Kazakhstan citizens," the leader of the state stated.

The President reminded that "we have formulated our ambitious plans to make Astana one of thirty best cities of the world. Our young capital became a part of the Kazakhstan brand." "We need to show the new city built in the steppe in harsh conditions," N. Nazarbayev considers.

The leader of the state noted that numerous visitors from abroad are expected to arrive in the capital to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Astana. "There will be the international forum of the cities and capitals with participation of 70 governors. It will demand much work to accommodate all the visitors, to organize interesting programs, to provide preparation of service infrastructure, hotels, restaurants, and tourist routes," Nazarbayev emphasized.
