Two more HIV infected children revealed in South Kazakhstan oblast

Shymkent. March 26. Kazakhstan Today - Number of HIV infected children in the South Kazakhstan oblast has increased up to 149 people, the Department of Public Health Services of the South Kazakhstan oblast press service informed the agency.

"As of today, 149 HIV infected children have been registered. The quantity of infected mothers and dead children has not changed," the employee of the press service informed.

The last revealed HIV infected children are a three-year-old girl living in Shymkent and an eight-year-old boy from Kazygurt region of the South Kazakhstan oblast.

149 HIV infected children (ten died, one has been adopted and left abroad), and 17 HIV infected mothers have been registered in the South Kazakhstan oblast.
