Miners of Zhezkazgan mines stopped strike

February 4. Kazakhstan Today - Miners of Zhezkazgan mines have stopped strike. Vice chairman of the professional committee of Kazahmys corporation Valery Boychuk informed.
"The agreement between the management of Kazakhmys corporation and the trade unions regarding meeting the demands of the miners was signed on Sunday. They consisted of 13 items. All the requirements of miners during long negotiations were signed by the chairman of the boards of Kazahmys corporation Edward Ogay and the chairman of trade union Asylbek Nuralin," V. Boychuk informed.
According to V. Boychuk, wages of miners have been increased. Depending on qualification at realization of the plan, they will receive from 200 up to 300 thousand KZT. Guaranteed earnings without dependence on the plan will make 75 % of the above-mentioned figures. Also the company will pay sick leaves at the rate of 10 monthly settlement parameter.
"The issue regarding pension age remains open," V. Boychuk said.
