Foreign trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Ukraine exceeded $3 billion

Kiev. January 2. Kazakhstan Today - Foreign trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Ukraine exceeded $3 billion in 2007, Kazakhstan Ambassador to Ukraine Amangeldy Zhyumabayev informed on Friday at the round table - Condition and Prospects of Kazakhstan-Ukrainian relations taken place in Kiev, the press service of Kazakhstan embassy in Ukraine informed.

The main area of cooperation of two countries is fuel and energy complex and transport component of oil and gas export to Europe.

"Activization of bilateral cooperation in the area of transportation of cargoes on the sea, railway and motor transport, as well as efficiency of sharing of seaports significantly expands geography of trading ways from Asia to Europe. Kazakhstan is also interested in development of cooperation with Ukraine in scientific and technical and educational spheres, in particular, in the field of metal processing, mechanical engineering, aviation and space industries" the ambassador emphasized.

The representatives of the diplomatic coprs accredited in Kiev, businessmen, experts and journalists took part in the work of the round table.
