Astana. December 13. Kazakhstan Today - The UN regional center for preventive diplomacy for Central Asia opened within the limits of the international conference on preventive diplomacy and international cooperation held in Ashkhabad on December 10 - 11, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan informed the agency.

The Kazakhstan delegation took part in the work of the conference headed by vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kazyhanov.

According to the press service, in his speech Y. Kazyhanov noted an increasing role of Central Asia in the international politics.

In his speech Y. Kazyhanov emphasized that these efforts should be realized under the aegis of the United Nations at observance of the purposes and principles of the charter of the organization and international law.

According to the press release, the chairman of the Kazakhstan delegation emphasized that instability in Afghanistan bears threats connected with export of radical and extremist ideas, refugee problems and illegal migration.
