Third forum of creative and scientific intelligentsia to be held in 2008 in Dushanbe

Astana. November 13. Kazakhstan Today - The third forum of creative and scientific intelligentsia of the CIS member states will take place in 2008 in Dushanbe, the agency reports referring to the final session of the second forum in Astana.

The forum participants decided to support the decision of the Tajik party on carrying out in 2008 in Dushanbe the third forum of creative and scientific intelligentsia during the days of celebration of the 1150 anniversary of the founder of Tajik-Persian classical literature Rudaki.

Its participants consider it necessary to discuss in 2008 "the topics of development of national literatures and development of reading and forms of assistance to mutual translation."

The forum participants also decided "to request the participants of the session of the council of the leaders of the CIS governments to consider the question of annual carrying out of the years on the subjects of humanitarian cooperation in CIS and suggested "to carry out in 2008 the Year of national literature and readings."
