Majilis approved bill on Republican budget for 2008

Astana. October 18. Kazakhstan Today - The Majilis deputies approved the bill on the Republican budget for 2008 at the plenary session on Wednesday.

As it was informed earlier, the project of the republican budget for 2008 is based on the base script of the development of the economy for 2008 - 2010. According to this document, annual growth of GDP is planned to be at the level of 9.1 %, the rate of inflation - 6-8 %.

According to the bill, volume of income to the republican budget in 2008 is planned - 2 trillion 692.1 billion KZT (17.7 % to GDP forecasted for 2008), general expenses - 2 trillion 889.7 billion KZT (18.9 % to GDP). The budget deficit is planned at the rate of 197.6 billion KZT (1.3 % to GDP).

During the discussion of the bill in the Majilis of the Parliament the government made the decision to increase the size of living wage up to 10 515 KZT, which requires an increase in the planned sums of payment of the base social payments by 8.7 billion KZT. The government declared readiness to redistribute inside of the project of the republican budget about 16 billion KZT, not changing the key parameters of the document.
