October 12. Kazakhstan Today - Rate of unemployment in Kazakhstan decreases. The Prime Minister informed on Thursday during the meeting of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev with the members of the government, the agency reports.
"The situation in the labor market of the Republic is characterized by stable decrease in the rate of unemployment due to growth of number of employed citizens and economic activity of the population," K. Masimov said. The rate of unemployment for 8 months 2007 has decreased by 7.2 %; a year earlier this parameter was 7.5 %.
"Well-being of the citizens of Kazakhstan grows. Real monetary incomes of the population for 8 months of 2007 in comparison with the similar period of the last year have grown by almost 13 %, real wages - by 20 %," K. Masimov informed.
At the same time, the Prime Minister reminded that the rate of inflation for 9 months of 2007 made 8.6 %, that is by 2.7 percent more than during the corresponding period of the last year.
