October 4. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan should ratify Kyoto Protocol. The member of the European Parliament Cem Ozdemir stated on Tuesday during the press conference in Almaty, the agency reports.
C. Ozdemir noted that he supports aspiration of Kazakhstan to preside in OSCE in 2009. "My group supports this aspiration. However, I wish to emphasize that it is connected with responsibility in the issue of further growth of democracy and development of civil society," he said.
During the press conference the Euro Parliament member informed that "Kazakhstan can become a part of the European Neighborhood Policy, though, we do not have direct borders." "Our relations should not be limited only to exchange of embassies.
As it was informed earlier, in 2006 Kazakhstan stated a wish to be included in to the European Neighborhood Policy.
