Carrier rocket Soyuz-U with space vehicle Foton-М-3 to prepare for launch at Baikonur

Baikonur. September 12. Kazakhstan Today - 72-hour schedule of round-the-clock preparation for launch of a carrier rocket Soyuz-U with a space vehicle Foton-М-3 is introduced at the cosmodrome Baikonur, the press-service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur informed the agency.

According to the press service, installation of the scientific equipment in the descending device has been completed; general assembly of the space head part and later docking with a booster rocket will be carried out today.

Scientific satellite Foton-M-3 is intended for carrying out of experiments in the field of space technology, manufacture of materials and biological preparation in the interests of various industries and science.

After the end of flight the descending device Foton-M-3 will return scientific equipment and the results of the experiments to the Earth.

Delivery of РН Soyuz-U with the space satellite Proton-M to the starting complex of platform 1 has been scheduled for the morning, September 13. The launch of Soyuz-U with the space satellite Foton-M has been scheduled for September 14 at 17.00. p.m. by Astana time (15.00 Moscow time).
