Astana to host Council of Boundary armies' commanders' session

Kazakhstan Today - Astana will host the Council of the boundary armies' commanders' session of the CIS member states on September 12-13, the CIS executive committee press service informed the agency.
According to the executive committee, during the session the heads of the boundary departments will exchange opinions on the situation on the boundaries. "The representative of the Committee for frontier protection of the national security service of Uzbekistan will make a speech: on the measures on counteraction to penetration of the means of terror, narcotics and illegal migrants through frontier of the Republic Uzbekistan from the territory of Afghanistan," the press service noted.
The session participants will discuss the results of the joint special boundary operations and operatively preventive actions, the results of the work of the Council of the commanders of boundary armies in 2007 and the plan of the work for 2008.
