September 3. Kazakhstan Today - The earthquake struck the Southeast part of Kazakhstan on the territory of Dzungar Ala Tau, the Emergency Ministry press service informed.
"According to the Institute of Seismology of the Ministry of Education and Sciences of Kazakhstan, on September 2, at 21.30 (by Astana time) the 11.1 magnitude earthquake struck the territory of the Republic Kazakhstan," the press service informed. The epicenter of the earthquake was in 196 km to the northeast from Almaty, the Emergency Ministry specified.
According to the Department, in Almaty the magnitude reached 3 points, and in Taldykorgan - 3 - 4 points.
"There is no information on victims and destructions," the press service informed.
