"Today's results show that the electors' participation is by 1.6 % higher than in the previous elections," the member of the Election Commission Marat Sarsembayev informed at the briefing.
He reminded that in 2004, 56.8 % of voters participated in the elections of the Majilis deputies, in 2003 - 56.4 % took part in the elections of the maslikhat deputies.
As of 18.00, 58% of electors cast votes in Kazakhstan.
