Astana. August 6. Kazakhstan Today - The leader of the state Nursultan Nazarbayev set a number of objectives for the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

"The new stage of development begins for the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. It has received the constitutional status, expanded the powers, which means a new level of responsibility and new objectives," the President said.

The primary goal of the Assembly is "further strengthening of unity and patriotism of Kazakhstan people." "The Assembly includes the most authoritative representatives of ethnoses whose opinion has high moral weight. It is necessary to direct this potential more actively on further strengthening of friendship and unity of our people," N. Nazarbayev emphasized.

"Secondly, active participation of the Assembly in realization of the language policy is necessary," the President said. He reminded that realization of cultural project Three languages, which provides that all Kazakhstani citizens learn three languages - Kazakh, Russian, English. "The Assembly should be connected actively to this work as it has a good experience on development of the languages through a network of Sunday schools," N. Nazarbayev emphasized.

Among the objectives named by the President - improvement of the legal base of the Assembly' work. "It is possible to accept in the future the separate law concerning functioning of the Assembly, the mechanisms, interactions with other structures, and many other things," he noted.

"The fourth objective - popularization of the Kazakhstan model of interethnic consent abroad," the President designated the objective. "For the last two years the Assembly has been successfully participating in the special international political programs on popularization of Kazakhstan experience in guarantee of inter ethnical consent, successful organizations of the dialogue, which is necessary to continue," he said.
