Inhabitants dissatisfied with indemnity offered by Almatyzher have been on hunger strike for 2 weeks

Almaty. July 23. Kazakhstan Today - Five inhabitants of one of the houses on the intersection of the streets Kabanbay-batyra-Seyfulina dissatisfied with indemnity offered by Almatyzher have been on hunger strike for more than two weeks, the agency reports.

"Today has been the 15th day and nobody does anything about it," the people informed, having added, that the condition of their health has worsened and they cannot walk without assistance.

"The assistant akim of Almaly region and the akim promised to help us within two days, but it has been the second week since we started the strike," the residents of the pulling down houses said.

According to hunger-strike participants, at the moment the builder - Company Alpari- offers compensation at the rate of $7 thousand for square meter. "Our apartments are 66 square meters and we ask minimum - $10 thousand for square meter," one of the participants of the protest said.

The residents specify that Almatyzher and Alpari companies' documents (the resolution on withdrawal of the land plot) are not correct. "The resolution states that the multistory house complex will be constructed and not the hotel of the international class. We did not see this decree," the hunger-strike participants informed. They explained that the notices they had received state Bostandyk region instead of Almaly region and Astana instead of Almaty city.

The strike participants emphasized they "refuse to stop hunger-strike until all requirements are satisfied."
