July 23. Kazakhstan Today - The average competition between maslikhat candidates makes three candidates on one mandate. The Chairman of the Election Commission Kuandyk Turgankulov informed during the briefing for mass-media on Friday.
"An average competition in the country - three candidates on one mandate. The highest alternativeness has developed in the city of Astana (on average 5.2 competitors on one mandate) and in Almaty (on average 4.5 competitors)," K. Turgankulov said.
As of July 20, 5565 maslikhat candidates have been registered, 882 - candidates for the regional and Almaty and Astana maslikhats, 3772 - for the regional maslikhats, 911 - the deputies for city maslikhats.
