Extraordinary Nur Otan session to discuss pre-election platform

Astana. July 3. Kazakhstan Today - The delegates will discuss pre-election platform of the party and make the lists of Majilis candidates at the extraordinary, eleventh congress of the People's Democratic Party Nur Otan, which will take place on Wednesday, July 4, with participation of the President of the state, the leader of the party, Nursultan Nazarbayev, the agency reports.

"The agenda of the congress session includes the questions regarding political reforms carried out in the country, the forthcoming elections to the Majilis and local representative bodies. The congress delegates will discuss pre-election platform of the party and the list of the Majilis candidates of the People's Democratic Party Nur Otan, widespread message of the party press service states.

340 delegates are expected to take part in the work of the session, more than 600 have been invited, including 200 representatives of the youth wing of the party Zhas Otan and about 200 representatives of the regional and republican mass media.

The elections to the Majilis of the Parliament of the fourth convocation have been scheduled for August 18. 98 out of 107 deputies are expected to be elected this day. They will be elected according to the party lists on the uniform national constituency on the basis of proportional electoral system. 9 more deputies will be elected by the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan at the session on August 20.
