June 14. Kazakhstan Today - Afghanistan is interested in assistance to Kazakhstan in development of oil-and-gas sector, construction of railways, development of deposits and mining industry.
The First Vice President of the Islamic Republic Afghanistan Ahmad Ziya Masud said today during the meeting with the Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev.
According to the Senate press service, during the meeting the parties exchanged opinions on a large spectrum of international issues representing mutual interest.
K. Tokayev noted readiness of Kazakhstan "in every possible way to develop versatile cooperation with Afghanistan." "Favorable geographical and geopolitical location of Kazakhstan in the region allows to cooperate successfully in the solution of trade, economic, energy, and transport questions and new format of cooperation assumes development of the principles of the common market with free turnover of goods, services and capitals," the Senate Speaker considers.
