Nazarbayev held a number of meetings in Almaty

Almaty. March 25. Kazakhstan Today - The Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev held a number of meetings in Almaty, the agency reports referring to the president's press service.

N. Nazarbayev met the prominent scientist-nuclear engineer, the academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Zhabaga Takibayev and discussed the questions of development of atomic engineering in Kazakhstan.

The same day the President of the country received the Chairman of the Central union council - volunteer society of invalids of Kazakhstan Saydalim Tanikeev and discussed the questions of realization of the Message to the Kazakhstan nation directed at strengthening of social support of socially unprotected layers of the population.

"I am grateful that I met the President. We discussed many issues reflected in the Message to the Kazakhstan nation, education of youth, development of agriculture, social support of veterans of war and labor, growth of authority of Kazakhstan in the world," S. Tanikeev said after the meeting.

The state leader also received akim of Almaty Imangali Tasmagambetov.
