Nazarbayev arrived for official visit in Egypt

Astana. March 12. Kazakhstan Today - The Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived for the official visit in the Arabian Republic Egypt, the president's press service informed.

As it was informed earlier, the visit of the President to Egypt will last till March 14. During the visit N. Nazarbayev will meet the President of Egypt Hosni Mubarak to discuss the questions of deepening of cooperation of two countries in various spheres. Following the results of the negotiations, the parties will sign intergovernmental agreements.

The President of Kazakhstan arrived in Cairo from the capital of Qatar. In Doha N. Nazarbayev met the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Ben Caliph al-Thani. According to the press service of the Kazakhstan leader, during the negotiations the parties discussed the questions of strengthening of mutual relations and prospects of development of bilateral trade and economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

As it was informed earlier, the President of Kazakhstan thanked the Emir of Qatar for the contribution in construction in Astana the Islamic center, having noted, that the center became "an original symbol of friendship of two countries." N. Nazarbayev noted the necessity to join the efforts on restoration and maintenance of dialogue between religions and civilizations and suggested the State of Qatar to become the participant of CICMA process.

Following the results of the negotiations, the leaders of the states gave the assignment to the governments to take concrete measures on activization of bilateral cooperation. The Presidents of two countries declared the opening in the near future the Embassies of Kazakhstan in Qatar and Qatar in the Republic Kazakhstan.

After the meeting Nursultan Nazarbayev awarded the Emir of the State Qatar with Dostyk reward of the first degree. The highest award of Qatar - the award of Independence was handed over to the President of Kazakhstan.
