February 1. Kazakhstan Today - Today at the plenary session the Senate deputies approved the decision of the conciliatory commission of the Parliament chambers for overcoming of disagreements on the bill on amendments in the law on international contracts of Kazakhstan," the agency reports.
As it was informed earlier, the Majilis deputy Sergey Kiselyov proposed to introduce amendments to the law on international contracts. The deputy considers that the law adopted in May, 2005 on international contracts contains inconsistent norms. In particular, item 2, clause 20 of the law defines that in case of conflict of the international contracts of the Republic Kazakhstan with the laws of Kazakhstan, international contracts are subject to change, suspense or termination of the activity that contradicts item 3, clause 4 of the Constitution of Kazakhstan that establishes a priority of the international contracts ratified by the Republic to the internal legislation.
The law has been directed to the President.
