Parliament adopted amendment to Subsoil Use Law

Astana. December 26. Kazakhstan Today - Today at the plenary session of the Senate the deputies adopted the bill On amendments and additions to the acts concerning subsoil use and oil operations," the agency reports.

As it was informed earlier, the bill introduces the norms directed at maintenance of transparency of goods purchase, works and the services used at carrying out the operations related to subsoil use and the norms adjusting the organization and carrying out of competition of the rights granting to subsoil use and the contracts signing.

The bill also specifies the bases for refusal in participation in competition if granting of the right to the subsoil use to such a person entails non-observance of requirements of maintenance of national safety of the country.

The bill norms stipulate the requirement for the contractors to provide equal working conditions and equal payment for the Kazakhstan and foreign personnel.

The law has been directed for the Kazakhstan President's signature.
