Kazakh delegation to take part in Inter-parliamentary Assembly regular session

Astana. October 16. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan parliamentary delegation chaired by the Majilis speaker Ural Mukhamedzhanov left for Geneva (Switzerland) to take part in the regular session of the Assembly of Inter-parliamentary union, Majilis press service informed the agency.

"From October 15-18 the deputies from both chambers will take part in the work of 115th session of the Assembly of Inter-parliamentary union created in 1889 and uniting today as the world organization of the national parliaments of 146 countries," the press service noted.

During the trip to Switzerland U. Mukhamedzhanov will hold a number of meetings. The meetings with the Inter-parliamentary union Assembly regular session, the chairman of the Ministry of Railways Pierre Kazani and the representatives of Bulgaria, the Great Britain and Finland have been scheduled. The speaker will take part in the session of geopolitics group Eurasia.

After Geneva Kazakhstan delegation will visit Belgium. The purpose of the visit to this country, which will last from October 18 till October 22, is strengthening and development of Kazakh-Belgian dialogue, especially inter-parliamentary cooperation, the Chamber press service explained.

At the meetings with Belgium government including the Minister for Foreign Affairs OSCE Chairman-in-office Karel De Gucht the participants will consider the questions connected with intention of Kazakhstan to preside in OSCE in 2009 and preparation for the introduction into WTO.
