Third Congress of World and Traditional Religion Leaders to hold in 2009

Astana. September 13. Kazakhstan Today - The third Congress of World and Traditional Religion Leaders will take place in 2009 in Astana. The resolution was accepted today by the participants of the second religious forum, the agency reports.

"The Congress of World and Traditional Religion Leaders turns to constantly operating authoritative international forum. It means, that the idea of interconfessional dialogue is extremely desirable and becomes the real factor of international life," the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev concluded.

The Head of the State thanked Congress participants who appreciated Kazakhstan efforts in maintenance of dialogue of cultures and religions, activity of the Republic in struggle against national, cultural, and religious intolerance.
