Astana. September 4. Kazakhstan Today - Today, following the results of the negotiations during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to Kazakhstan, a number of documents has been signed, the agency reports.

The joint statement of the Presidents of two states; regulations of the Interstate coordination council under the aegis of the Leaders of two countries; the program and the strategic plan of economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan for 2006 - 2010 were signed.

The Agreement on mutual protection of classified information between the governments of two countries, the agreement on check points through Kazakh-Uzbek border, the program and the strategic plan of cooperation in cultural-humanitarian sphere for 2006 - 2008 between the governments of two countries were signed.

The agreement between Ministers of Defense of two countries on cooperation in the field of flights safety, the agreement between the national company Uzbektourism and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the sphere of tourism, the program of cooperation between commercial and industrial chambers of two countries were signed.

According to the State statistics committee of Uzbekistan, for the first half of 2006 volume of trade between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan has made $293.4 million (growth - 27.3 %). Last year in comparison with the similar period of 2004 commodity circulation grew by 21.3 % and totaled $516.4 million, including export in Kazakhstan - $247 million and import from Kazakhstan - $269.5 million.
