Government discussed space program development

Kazakhstan Today - On Friday, at governmental meeting, chaired by Kazakh Prime Minister Daniyal Akhmetov, issues on development of Baikonyr town and infrastructure of Baikonur space center were discussed.
As reported before, Ministry of Education and Science developed draft program Development of Baikonur space infrastructure for 2007-2009.
In the course of the sitting, PM noted that within the program great attention should be paid to construction of health and education facilities, as well as repair of dwelling houses.
At the same time construction of a school for 500 seats and a maternity home for 800 beds is under way.
