Kazakh delegation to discuss Kambarat HPS project in Kyrgyzstan

Kazakhstan Today - Government delegation from Kazakhstan arrived in Kyrgyzstan to study the question of possible participation of Kazakh party in construction of Kambarat Hydroelectric Power Station. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan Umarzak Uzbekov informed on Wednesday at press conference, the agency reports.
The delegation is headed by Vice Prime Minister of Power and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan Byrlik Orazbayev. "The feasibility report and an opportunity of participation of Kazakh party in construction of Kambarat Hydroelectric Power Station will be studied," he explained.
According to the experts’ estimations of Kambarat HPS-1 construction will require $2-2.5 billion, HPS-2 - $300-350 million.
Kambarat HPS-1 construction has been completed by 40 %; erection of HPS-2 is at the initial stage. |
