May 18. Kazakhstan Today – Inflation level in 2006 in Kazakhstan will reach 5.7-7.6%. Vice Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning Marat Kusainov informed at the seminar for the city and regional akims (mayors) on clarification and dissemination of the President’s Message to the people of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.
In 2006-2008 mid-annual GDP is expected to grow by 8.5%, average economic growth rate will make 27.7%, and inflation level in 2006 will reach 5.7-7.6%, he explained.
“In 2007-2008 inflation is expected to fluctuate between 5-7%, output growth – 8.5% annually, mid-annual level of industrial production – 5%. Investment growth is expected to be 15.7%, GDP per capita will reach $5560 by 2008,” Vice Minister informed. |
