Customs Union to create common economic space with EU

Almaty. January 21. Kazakhstan Today - The countries of the Customs Union Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will aspire to create common economic space with the EU. Vice Premier of the Russian Federation, Igor Shuvalov, informed in Moscow today, the agency reports citing REGNUM.

According to I. Shuvalov, the Customs Union countries should move towards harmonization of the economic legislation with the European to promote economic growth of the uniform economic space.

I. Shuvalov said that economic integration is an ultimate goal of the uniform space from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean without visa and customs restrictions. Vice Premier also noted that creation of the common economic space of the Customs Union with the EU differs from creation of the uniform economic space by absence of supra national integration bodies.

The Customs Union of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus started its work from January 1, 2010.
