Transport Ministry to take planes not corresponding to ICAO standards out of service
Astana. January 13. Kazakhstan Today - Transport and Communications Ministry of Kazakhstan intends in March, 2010 to take the planes not corresponding the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) out of service and replace them with modern planes. The head of the department, Abelgazi Kusainov, informed during the session in the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the agency reports.
"The planes of Soviet make, which have not been equipped according to ICAO standards, will be taken out of service and be replaced with modern planes in March, 2010," A. Kusainov informed.
The Minister asked the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, "to allocate additional financing of 400 million KZT to update the aircraft depot."
