Almaty. January 10. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan representative, Dzhenisbek Dzhumanbekov, has been appointed the head of the Executive Committee of the Regional Antiterrorist Structure (RAES) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The new head was introduced on Tuesday in Tashkent by vice-president of KNB of Kazakhstan, Major General, Zhanat Dzharasov, the agency reports citing official mass media.
According to KNB vice president, "the situation in the countries of our region dictates the necessity of undertaking of further measures to maintain security and stability in the SCO space."
"In the near future, we will realize the program of cooperation of the SCO member states on struggle against terrorism, separatism and extremism for 2010 - 2012," Z. Dzharasov underlined.
