New China-ASEAN free trade zone appeared in 2010

Almaty. January 5. Kazakhstan Today - The new regional association - China-ASEAN free trade zone with cumulative gross national product at the rate of $6 trillion appeared in 2010, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

"An influential regional association - the China-ASEAN free trade zone with the cumulative gross national product at the rate of $6 billion appeared in 2010. It is the largest, by its population - nearly 1.9 billion people, and the third, by its economic power after the European Union and the North American zone of free trade, and includes 11 states."

On the eve of introduction of the agreement - January 1, 2010, there was a crisis when Indonesia tried to change some positions of already developed agreement, Financial Times informs. However, the association managed to resolve all the difficulties and the new union appeared in 2010."

Thereby, the process of integration of the South East Asian states and China begun 8 years ago came to the end, ITAR-TASS informs.
