Agriculture Ministry to create special grain export company

Astana. December 14. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan intends to create a specialized grain export company. The Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Akylbek Kurishbayev, informed today at the republican meeting on agriculture, the agency reports.

According to A. Kurishbayev, now agrarian and industrial complex needs to develop an export orientation. "Backwardness and lack of development of infrastructure of storage and transportation of grain do not only negatively affect timeliness and efficiency of export deliveries, but have also become a deterrent for manufacture," the Minister of Agriculture said.

The Agriculture Ministry needs to solve the issues of construction of additional elevator capacities, sea terminals, and also expansion of transport opportunities."

"Kazakhstan needs to create "a specialized export company based on the principles of state-private partnership that will allow the country to improve its export opportunities and to effectively manage its grain resources."
